General Information Regarding Skin Infections in Cats and Dogs
Bacterial infections of the skin represent a major segment in small animal practice, accounting for around 25% of the general case load of dermatologic dog and cat patients. In a large statistical evaluation study in North America, the occurence of pyoderma was second only to flea allergic dermatitis (2).
