Search operators
To find a specific document on our website, you can refine your search engine query by using logical operators and special characters.
The search engine allows you to give a fuzzy definition of a search criterion or to combine several search words within the same query.

Special characters in a search string:
| ? | Use the question mark as a wildcard for a single character in a search string, for instance, in cases where you are not quite sure about the spelling: 'Enrofloxa?in' will find both ''Enrofloxacin' and ''Enrofloxazin'. |
| * | Use an asterisk as a wildcard to represent several character within a search string. For instance, 'cat*' would find both 'cat' and 'cats'. |
You can combine two words with an operator:
| AND | The search will only find documents that contain both words. |
| OR | The search will find all documents that contain at least one of the two words. |
| NOT | The search will find all documents that contain the first word, but not the second one. |
